The West Port is an attic property, which allows for large windows and fantastic skylights. The lounge is light and airy; we guarantee you’ll feel all your worries ease away as you sink into a delightfully squashy sofa and watch a good movie, or curl up in the adorable window alcove and lose yourself in a book. The open plan kitchen space features all the mod cons one would expect from a fabulous city centre property. There’s an ample amount of preparation space and dining table and bench will seat 4 famished adventurers.

When it’s time to visit the land of nod, the West Port Residence features 1 snug and serene bedroom, which even has access to the balcony. The lounge sofa also converts to a double sofa bed which can sleep up to 2 additional guests. Completing this property is a fresh, modern bathroom, with shower over bath, so whether you prefer a late night soak or an early morning shower, you’re well looked after at the West Port.

The West Port Residence’s location is an absolute dream. Nestled on the edge of the Grassmarket, the local area is brimming with history and things to do. The area is brimming with distinctive Scottish architecture and features one of only 2 known building emblems remaining in the Old Town.

Princes Street is a short walk away, and the Royal Mile is even closer - but if you’d like to venture further afield, Waverley train station is within easy walking distance and the area is well serviced by the extremely efficient Lothian Buses.

A meet and greet service is provided, whereby you will be met at the property to be provided with keys and to be shown the property. Please arrange your arrival with the property manager.

Entry to the apartment is from 16:00 onwards; however, please note that arrivals after 21:00 will incur a fee of £30 for unsociable hours. Earlier entry can perhaps be arranged but depends if there is a departure at your chosen apartment that day. This can be confirmed within 48 hours of arrival. If you are arriving earlier than 16:00 on your day of arrival, it is always worth contacting the property manager as they will always endeavour to give you access as soon as possible. You may be able to arrive early and leave luggage and come back however this is not guaranteed.

The latest departure time is 11:00, however, a guaranteed later departure (up to 20:00) can be arranged for a fee of 50% of the daily rate for that day but please note this is subject to no existing booking arriving that day already.

A £200 refundable damage/security deposit is due 7 days before arrival, and refunded after departure.

All properties are strictly non-smoking, and do not accept hen/stag/party groups. At least one guest must be over 25 years old.

Please arrange your arrival with the property manager at least 24 hours before arrival.

Check in is from 4pm, and check out is before 11am.

Please note, if you require the sofa bed to be made up and have not booked for the maximum number of guest, there will be an additional charge.
